With the participation of delegates from 12 Arab and European countries — Libya, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Kenya, Senegal, Niger, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, France, and Turkey — the Regional Family Charter Forum was held in Istanbul from September 24 to 28, 2025, bringing together around 30 delegates. The forum concluded on September 30 with a cultural tour of Istanbul’s most iconic landmarks.

The event came as part of the Family Charter’s ongoing efforts to strengthen regional cooperation and exchange expertise among participating countries. Sessions focused on introducing the Family Charter, exploring implementation mechanisms in each country, and identifying opportunities, challenges, and national specificities to localize the initiative in ways that best serve families and communities.

The program featured a series of rich workshops, including Personality Analysis and Team Building and Strategic Planning, both delivered by Dr. Mohammed Hassan Ashour, focusing on methods to measure impact and success. In addition, Ms. Sahar Azzazi led a workshop on Effective Speaking and Presentation Skills and supervised country presentations in which delegates introduced the Family Charter, its goals, mechanisms, and ways to engage with it.

Engineer Khaled Safi also presented a specialized workshop titled “Effective Digital Campaigns”, which explored how to design and manage impactful online initiatives that strengthen the Charter’s narrative and expand its digital presence.

The forum concluded with a series of cordial visits, where delegates met Ms. Salha Demirer, Head of the Women’s Affairs Department of the Justice and Development Party (AKP), and Ms. Yildiz Konal Suslu, Member of the Turkish Parliament. Both praised the Family Charter’s mission and the importance of joint women-led efforts in promoting human values and supporting the Palestinian cause.

The Global Women’s Coalition for Jerusalem and Palestine, accompanied by Family Charter delegates, also conducted an official visit to the AKP headquarters in Istanbul. The meeting included a constructive discussion on enhancing cooperation in supporting women and family issues, reaffirming the centrality of Jerusalem and Palestine in the coalition’s work, and emphasizing the importance of uniting efforts to strengthen Palestine’s presence in global awareness.

The forum concluded with a cultural tour of Istanbul, visiting Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and Eminönü, followed by a Bosphorus cruise, marking the end of a week filled with training, connection, and collective work toward stronger families and more cohesive societies
