Sponsorship Project for Breadwinner Women in Gaza

Many families in Gaza face increasingly difficult living conditions due to ongoing economic restrictions, devastation caused by repeated conflicts, and the loss of income sources. As a result, thousands of women have been forced to assume full responsibility for providing for their families after losing their husbands due to war, injury, disability, or death. From this deeply human reality emerged the Breadwinner Woman Sponsorship Project, a compassionate initiative designed to support families where the mother has become the sole provider.

This project provides regular financial assistance that helps meet the family’s essential needs such as food, healthcare, education, and shelter. The financial support is designed not only to alleviate immediate hardship but also to create social stability within the family and prevent its collapse under economic pressure. It reflects a firm belief that preserving family dignity begins with empowering the woman who carries its responsibilities with strength and resilience.

The project targets 2,000 families in the Gaza Strip headed by women who have lost their primary provider. Each family receives cash assistance of $250 USD, distributed periodically to ensure consistent support that improves their standard of living and restores a sense of security. With a total project value of $500,000 USD, this sponsorship ensures that families in distress receive structured and dignified assistance through transparent mechanisms and fair beneficiary selection.

Beyond its financial impact, the project strengthens the psychological and emotional stability of the family, assuring each woman that she is not alone in this journey. It restores hope and protects her children from the consequences of poverty, deprivation, and social vulnerability.
