Women’s Personal Kit Project Report – One of the Emergency Response Projects in Gaza
Under the prolonged blockade imposed on Gaza and the severe humanitarian conditions that have stripped families of their most basic rights, thousands of households struggle daily to secure the essentials of life. In the midst of this hardship, the burden falls heavily on the shoulders of the woman provider—the mother who stands alone to protect her family after losing her husband or support system, striving to secure her children’s needs despite the scarcity of resources.
Believing that the dignity of the family begins with the dignity of the mother, the Women’s Personal Care Kit Project was launched as an urgent humanitarian response aimed at supporting women who shoulder family responsibilities alone. The project provides each woman with a complete personal care kit that includes hygiene and essential health items—ensuring her well-being and preserving her dignity in an environment suffering from deteriorating living conditions and lack of basic services.
This project targets 2,000 women providers in the Gaza Strip, focusing on widowed women and those who have lost their breadwinners due to war and its devastating consequences. Field teams work carefully to identify eligible beneficiaries and distribute the kits with full respect for privacy and dignity, ensuring that assistance reaches those who need it most.
As part of the project framework, one personal care kit is provided to each woman at a cost of $120 USD per kit, bringing the total project value to $240,000 USD. This initiative offers tangible support that strengthens the resilience of Palestinian families and helps protect their right to a life of dignity.
